Born from the field.

Good Meat isn't another meat company. It's the next chapter of a story that started years before the first order was ever placed.

Our Story

That story begins with Fariel Salahuddin. Before she founded what would become UpTrade, Fariel spent over a decade working as an energy specialist — advising governments on energy policy and renewable energy projects across Pakistan, Indonesia, and beyond, through work with institutions like the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.

That changed the day she visited an off-grid village where the community's diesel-powered water pump had been broken for months. The village needed a solar replacement, but had no cash to pay for one. What they had, instead, were goats.

Fariel accepted the goats as payment and later sold them around Eid, recovering the cost of the pump. That single exchange became the foundation of the Goats for Water project under UpTrade Technologies.

Since then, farming families across Tharparkar have traded livestock directly for solar water pumps and solar home systems—without debt, banks, or middlemen.

Today, Good Meat brings that same trusted farmer network directly to Karachi's kitchens. Every purchase supports the same rural families who helped build this journey from the beginning.
